Tristan's 8th Birthday Party!!

Friday evening, we had Tristan's 8th birthday party at Altitude Trampoline Park!
T and some of his closest friends enjoyed their time jumping, playing dodge ball, eating pizza, and of course devouring cake and cupcakes!

I can hardly believe my baby boy is turning 8!! It seems like just yesterday I was bringing him home from the hospital. One thing is for sure, he sure does make life SWEET!

Tristan's latest college team obsession is the Texas Longhorns! Of course being from and living in the wonderful state of Texas, our family is in full support. ;) With all that said, this little guy requested a UT themed birthday party, and that is precisely what he got!!

Birthdays have always been a big deal in our family and it has been a fun tradition to pass on to the kids.
Happy birthday (party), T!!

Such a fun party and precious group of kids!!

Earlier that day, Kennedy and I brought Tristan his choice of lunch to school. He chose CFA, not a surprise. Ha! Ken was SO excited to see her bubba!!

Since T's actual birthday lands on a Sunday, his class celebrated on Friday. I brought cookies for him to share with the class. His teacher, Mrs. Kelley, is simply the best!! She let Kennedy come to the front of the class and even held her as they sang to Tristan. :)

I think it is safe to say that little Mr. had a FUN day!!

It's 12:30AM (why am I still up!?!) so it is technically his *actual* birthday.
His room has been filled with balloons (a birthday tradition), streamers are hanging from his bedroom door frame, and the kitchen table is decked out with birthday decor and a couple special presents...there will be one happy 8 year old waking up in my house in a few hours!

Eight is going to be GREAT!!!

Kennedy's 1st day of MDO

I can hardly believe it. My precious Kennedy Brooke started "school" aka Mother's Day Out last week!
She will go every Tues and Thurs to school, then Wednesdays she has dance. I told Dwight that I am running around for Ken just as much as the big kids now. Ha!

Kennedy LOVES school and I knew she would. If her name was in the dictionary, it would have the definition "social butterfly" next to it. The girl adores other children, music, playing, crafts, and snack...basically everything that MDO is! I enrolled her before I even knew I was pregnant, so it just so happens to work out that I can get my appointments/errands/baby prep done while she is in school...I may sneak in a nap or two, too! ;)

Dada had the hardest time leaving her. After we walked out of the building, he walked back in to check on her. Girlfriend didn't shed ONE tear when we left. She marched right in and said, "bye mom! bye dada!"
Be still my heart!!

Mimi met us up there to witness Ken's big day

Walking her to class!

Kennedy's teachers are PRECIOUS. They had so many sweet things to say about her upon pick up. She loves Ms. Hailey and Ms. Kim!

After school I took the kids to Target/Starbucks. We had to get Tristan's birthday party decorations and of course a cake pop and fraps  for treats!

The night before school for Kennedy, I was packing both kid's lunches and had a total hormonal "mom" moment. HOW is it possible that both my babies are becoming such big kids?! Good thing I have Ella coming along...not sure what I will do when she goes to school. Probably really lose it. ha!

Life Lately

Life is busy, as usual, but I managed to get some snap shots of our highlights! :)

Last Saturday Dwight and I took the kids to Chuck E Cheese. They had the best time playing, and I ate my weight in pizza. It was a win win for all of us. Ha! Ken asks daily to go to Chuck E Cheese so her wish finally came true! :)

Speaking of Kennedy, little miss is doing all sorts of big girl things!!
She is officially out of her crib, only taking her paci at nap/night, and doing awesome at potty training! It is like she woke up one day and was a big girl. So proud of her!!

Since Ken is no longer in need of her crib, I decided now is a good time to prepare for Baby Ella. I washed her bedding and moved the crib out of Ken's room. I have had about 4 sonograms, feel this girl kick and wiggle ALL the time, oh ya...and I'm huge, but for some reason, THIS made it feel real. December will be here in no time!

Tuesday is Bible study morning with my favorite girls. We are reading this book right now and it is a-mazing. I highly recommend it!

Tristan's school had a really cool event with a guy name Dino George. He showed the kids all sorts of dinosaur artifacts and lots of neat things. T loved it!

I took this picture after Ken Ken's first successful night in her crib. Go, girl!!

Sweet girl before church!

Playing dress up with Camryn!
