The weekend

Tristan and Amari had a basketball game on Saturday. Tristan scored a basket and Amari threw the assist. It was a proud moment for us for sure!!

Their biggest fan!

Brianna had a game after the boys. We cheered her on, went to lunch, and then Dwight's team had games. Basketball is clearly a staple in our life. Ha!

I have been DYING for Girl Scout cookies. I tell Dwight every day that if he spots a Girl Scout selling them, to get me some!! Well, I was out with his mom shopping and she found some! We stocked up. About an hour later, Dwight called and told me, "babe, I found you some Girl Scout cookies" ha! Needless to say, we are good in the cookie dept! *blurry pic taken by Tristan* ;)

I snapped this the other night as Dwight was holding Tristan before bed. I couldn't believe how big my baby looked in his daddy's arms!

I took down Ken's braids and washed her hair. She threw a FIT because I took her bow out. Girl friend likes her accessories (hence the bracelets).

Watching one of my best friends from childhood coach her high school basketball team. They played at the same high school we attended. It was SO weird to be there as a grown up with kids of my own! I still feel like that 17 year old girl (in my mind). Ha!

This has been me most days while Kennedy naps the past week, watching Making a Murder. In shock. Confused and conflicted with verdicts. What the what!??!!

Dwight's mom came and stayed with us Friday night and Saturday during the day. We had a little birthday celebration for her! She always spoils us when she comes. I got to take a three hour nap while she played with the kids. It was wonderful!

It's been in the 70's the past few days...amazing!! Kennedy and I made a sonic run for a cold drink and snack.

Me and my love after church!

My loves

My heart could bursts with the love I have for this sweet little family of mine. :)

Tristan is growing into a little young man, I can barely take it!! I managed to snap a picture of him before school on Monday.

Tuesday, I had bible study. Kennedy goes to the nursery while I'm in group. She loves it (most of the time)! Afterwards we met dada for lunch at my favorite BBQ place, Cousins!

I have one word to describe Ken: (almost) two!!

My easy going boy!!

Oh how I love this girl.

My sweet hubs. He came out dressed to the nines for work and I asked him where he got this outfit idea from (it's hidden under his coat), he replied, "I found it on Pinterest." Ha!! Love that he pins!

Bedtime routine: bath, brush teeth, books, and take pictures. ;)

Ken has been putting herself in timeout this week. She is a mess!!

I found this pic the other day and almost burst into tears. How, HOW was this almost 2 years ago?!? Time, slow down!!!

Weekend Wrap

Friday morning, I took Kennedy on a fun little play date to urban air! They have toddler jump time and the kids loved it. Ken was a little unsure at first but she warmed right up!

We came home to nap and while my back was turned for 2 minutes, Kennedy found a roll of toilet paper. Ha! Mimi picked T up from school and he stayed the night with her. Ken and I went and cheered daddy on as he coached a game that night. Go Vikings!

Saturday morning Tristan had a basketball game. Afterwards, my parents kept both kids for a few hours so I could just have some down time. I needed it!! I got some Mexican food to go and went home and had a mini Netflix marathon. Pure, uninterrupted bliss, I tell ya!

I picked Ken up from Mimi and Poppy's then went to Hobby Lobby for a few decorative items. I love that store!! She insisted on holding these fake flowers I got for the mantle. I'm getting ready for Valentines Day! My parents dropped T off to me and we went to watch daddy coach another game. We eat, sleep, and breathe basketball over here! ;)

Today, we got up and went to church, came home and relaxed, the. Headed to Tristan's bball practice. The message at church was amazing and so refreshing to my soul!! I love my church.

This evening was spent playing, cooking, and having quality time with these two!

Sweet Tristan helped me get Ken to sleep tonight. He is such a good big brother!!

Well, that was our weekend. It sure does fly by!

This week

And just like that, the week is nearly over! I see clients one day a week right now for a couple hours. It's nice to get my feet wet but still have most of my time at home with my family.

Mimi helps with Ken when Dwight can't, and this Monday was her day. She sent me this sweet selfie of her and Kennedy and it made me melt. I mean...!!

Ken coloring. I picked her up and she had EVERY toy possible out. I told her to help pick up but Mimi insisted that was not necessary. Grandparents...ha!

I sent Dwight this picture of all the kids on Sunday after basketball practice. Since it was a three day weekend, we got the kids. I texted him, "got the whole crew!"

This big girl got her hair braided over the weekend! She did great while the lady fixed it. It took about 35 minutes and Kennedy watched Barney on my phone and just sat there. This has made our mornings much easier! I think this will become a regular thing. :)

Sweet baby passed out after bible study on Tuesday morning. I had to wake her up to go grocery shopping...hated to do that, but we gotta eat! ;)

Kenny's first time in the car shopping cart. She liked it for about 10 minutes. Ha!

Wednesday we met our friends for a morning playdate and CFA lunch. Love these girls!!

My sweet T! I try and spend time with him each night once Kennedy is down. She usually is in bed by 7pm and he gets to stay up till 8pm. Last night we played candy land, had a tickle fight (at his request), and took silly selfies. Love this guy!

Kennedy

This girl. I can't. love!
