Pumpkin patchin'

Wednesday afternoon I signed Tristan out of school 30 minutes early (he was thrilled) and we headed to meet some friends at the pumpkin patch! After playing, chasing Kennedy, and of course snapping a few pictures, we headed to Braums for ice cream. I don't know what I was thinking, but I got kennedy her own cup of vanilla...she was eating it saying "mmmmmmm" and smacking her lips. Ha! She is a mess. Tristan always asks me, "was I good, mommy?" Ha! He knows if he isn't, there is a consequence when we get home, which rarely happens because he knows mama means business ;). I assured him he had good behavior and let him pick out the flavor he wanted. 

So thankful for a beautiful afternoon with my sweet babies. They are truly the joy and light of my life. I love being their mommy!!

Blue hair!

This week is drug free week at school. The boys have enjoyed participating in each theme day! Today was "crazy hair" day. I found temporary spray hair dye at Walmart in the Halloween costume section and knew they would be thrilled. I tried not to think of all the toxins in this stuff. Everything in moderation, right? Ha!

Happy 7th Birthday, Amari!

Amari turned 7 years old on Tuesday! His mom threw him a party on Sunday, and we are doing something for him on Friday! But for his actual birthday, we wanted to do something simple and fun for him. A few of the neighborhood kids came over, we ordered pizza, had cupcakes, played good old childhood games; musical chairs, freeze dance, and charades. The kids had the best time! After they all left, Dwight and I talked about how kids don't care about all the crazy details that usually cause stress in the party planning arena. They just want to have fun, and fun is exactly what we had!

Happy Harvest!

Today's work out class was fall themed! Krystle did a great job incorporating all things fall with our work out and activities. We ended at the playground having a little fall party! The weather was COLD (for us Texans...55ish degrees)! 

Thankful to do life with these sweet mamas and kiddos. Next up, pumpkin patch! I'm excited because the boys get to join us on that outing!

Keller Fire House # 4 tour!

This morning, our mommy-and-me workout group toured the Keller Fire House #4! It is a pretty, new station close to the park we workout at. The firemen were so kind and helpful. It was POURING rain...flash flooding kind of rain...and  they helped carry kids in, watch them while we pulled the cars around to load up and leave afters, and just took their time talking to us and the kids. 

Kennedy wanted to run through the station like a little wild woman, but she eventually settled down. Ha! I love my spunky girl so, so much. She makes my days so much brighter and fun!
