My little hunk!

It's been a while since I updated this thing, my lap top battery was broken. Things have been going GREAT. Tristan is growing and changing every single day. I think this has been my favorite stage by far. He is hilarious, constantly doing things to make sure all of his aunties, grandparents and of course mommy is watching! Tristan now knows how to blow spit-bubbles, yay...not! :), give kisses (my favorite),hold his own bottle, sit up and SLEEP IN HIS OWN CRIB!! I never thought we would get that down but after 1 day of working with him he has it down. I lay him down in his crib with his blanket, put the pacy in his mouth and he goes right to sleep, no crying or anything. In the past he would do this occasionally but never consistantly. I don't know if it is because he is a little older or what be he has been doing this for a week now and for the first time in 6 months I have been able to have my nice bed all to myself at night! His schedule has shifted some but I like it much better this way. TK now takes a short morning nap and a long 3 hour afternoon nap then another short evening nap before he goes to bed at 8pm, what a hard life! ha ha Here are some updated pictures of my birthday and my precious boy!

Happy Birthday to Me...almost!

Well, spring break is over so back to the real world! I enjoyed my week off and can't wait for summer. Overrall it was a pretty laid back week, I got absolutely none of the homework done that I was suppose to, so looks like tonight and tomorrow (my bday) will be spent writing a paper for my Sociology class.

Today my family and I went to church and then to my grandparents house to celebrate all the March birthdays. I turn 21 tomorrow, the 16th, my step dad's bday is the 18th and my second cousin Dylan's is the 20th! My cousins live in Corpus Christi but drove up last night and suprised me for my birthday. It was great to be with so many people and celebrate. I can't believe I am 21, on my birthday last year I was just barely 2 months pregnant and so sick with morning sickness...20 was a life changing year, I moved home from college, had a baby and found out what it really meant to grow up and most importantly, live in the will of God. I am so excited to see what 21 will bring!

It's been a pretty mellow week, I have been on spring break (thank God...I needed a break!)Although I am suppose to be writing a paper over Obsessive Compulsive Disorder for my Abnormal Psychology class and another paper over death for my Death and Dying Sociology class...due on Tuesday so Tristan and I are going out to DBU today to have lunch with my sister Ashley who works on campus and then we are going to go by the library while we're there and pick up some good research books! Hopefully he will be asleep in his stroller by that point, if not he'll get a tour of the library. He is so good it really won't matter either way if he's up or asleep. This weekend is going to be busy. We are celebrating birthdays. I turn 21 on Monday, and my step-dad's birthday is on the 18th, two days after mine. We went shopping today for Tristan's Easter outfit and found the most PRECIOUS one possible! We went to Children's Place in the Grapevine Mills Mall. Of course we couldn't just get Easter stuff, Tristan also got his first pair of crocs and a black onesie to go with his Nike Shox...yes, he has a pair of Nike Shox! haha Tristan has more clothes than his mommy, well almost! Here are some pics of what we found!

Our Week!

I am so excited that I am on spring break this upcoming week!! I am in desperate need of a break. Tristan has been taking naps in his crib but only after I get him to sleep first. I don't think he has been feeling well because of teething which has made him a little more clingier to me than usual. I don't mind rocking him to sleep though, I am not going to push the issue. As much as I would love a 6 to 7 hour stretch of sleep at night, in the grand scheme of things, he is only 5 and a 1/2 months old and still such a baby. We'll get there. :)

On Thursday Tristan and I went to a family friend of ours, Sarah's, and had a playdate. Tristan LOVED her little boy Kaden who is almost 3 years old. He was laughing so hard at him while they played. She also has a little girl, Presleigh who is 2 days older than Tristan. Sarah was leaving the same hospital I had Tristan in with her new baby the day I went in to have mine! They are such a precious family and we have known them for years, I am so grateful Tristan already has sweet little friends to play and grow with. Sarah took pictures on her camera so I'll have to get copies and post them on here of all the kids.

Today we went to Chick-fil-A and had lunch with my grandparents. They love Tristan so much and had to get their weekly dose! We then stopped by Mimi's work b/c she would be pretty upset if she knew we were 5 min away from her and didn't come by and say hi! We're going to take it easy tonight and RELAX!! Family!

My family from Corpus Christi came into town this weekend and we had a wonderful time! Friday we ordered pizza and caught up on everything with each other. Saturday we went to Southlake and ate at the yummy Mi Cocina, went to the Rocky Mountain chocolate factory...seriously, if you haven't been...go!!! It is the BEST chocolate I have ever put in my mouth AND it has NO preservatives. Doesn't get much better than that! Subday we went to church and then out to lunch at El Chico.
