This & That

We are enjoying December! It's my most favorite month of the year! Tristan feels the same...;)

Tristan and I made pancakes and eggs before church last Sunday!

Kennedy loves her sleep so she missed the cooking part but of course, she did not miss eating! ;)

Tristan and Amari went to go to the Mav's game with Amari's mom on Saturday, so Dwight, Kennedy and I had a stay at home movie night. Love them!

Sunday, I took the kids to see my parents and sisters. They had fun catching up, eating, playing, and getting spoiled!

Dwight took Tristan to get a mouth guard for bball and he is the happiest boy on earth. He wore it all day at school on Friday (I didn't know he took it!!). He cracks me up.

Someone had learned a dirty little habit. Haha! 

The most wonderful time of the year!

My favorite season is upon us! I love all things Christmas. Having children makes the holidays even more special!

Friday we decorated the house for Christmas. I have to wait till after thanksgiving because I don't want to skip that important day of gratitude. It's a hang up I have! ;) 

It has been pouring rain so we stayed in pjs, listened to Christmas music, sipped hot chocolate, and decked the halls! Kennedy saw the tree and said, "wow, wow, wow!" It was precious!! 

Dwight and I snuggled up on the couch and watched Netflix with hot coco in hand, after the kids were in bed. 

I love this time of year and am excited to make memories with my family and friends!

Thanksgiving

Wednesday we packed our bags and headed to stay in a cabin with Dwight's family. The kids enjoyed riding on the golf cart, bikes, throwing the frisby and playing board games!

Dwight's sisters and I cooked, visited, and enjoyed time together, too! It's always fun to get away and enjoy time with family. Our thanksgiving was simple and enjoyable, just how I like it! ;)

Fall break

I can't believe our fall break has come to an end. The kids played hard and enjoyed their time off! Ken loves having her big sibs home, too!

My garage door opener battery ran out and left me and the kids locked out one afternoon. We grabbed lunch, did some shopping, and went to daddy's game to kill time. Let's just say we were all tired by the end of the day! 

Dwight took our big kids to volunteer at Mission Arlington with his bball team. They got to pack food boxes and hear the testimony behind the amazing organization.

I took the kids to the mall one day because I needed new makeup. I got them each a cookie and let them play since they were all so good!

We had lots of game time. The kid's favorites are connect 4 and Uno.

Life lately

It is officially fall break, woohoo!! 

I plan on sleeping in (ha! I wish ;), making warm breakfast most mornings, cuddling up on the couch for a good movie, and spending lots and lots of time with my sweet family. 

Today Tristan and I watched Elf while Kennedy took her afternoon nap and daddy was coaching. It is always nice to have one-on-one time with my oldest. We both need it and deeply cherish it. I love this boy so much!!

Again...the chip. Don't ask! ;) It was cold this morning and Dwight had a tournament about 45 minutes away to coach, so I took the kids to church by myself. We actually got their early too!

Last night the kids and I went to cheer daddy on at the game he was coaching. We are so proud of him! Kennedy gets so into clapping and yelling for him. She loves her daddy SO much.

We got home a little bit before daddy since he had to go back to the school with the kids. I made hot chocolate with marshmallows and the kids helped decorate the chalkboard for him. We love him and are blessed to have him as the leader of our family!! 

The boys were playing connect 4 so sweetly in their room...Ken decided to go terrorize them for a little bit. Ha! She is such a mess and thinks that she runs this house!

After I picked the boys up from school on Friday (they were dressed as football players for career day...we have high hopes in the family, Ha!) I took them to the mall. I needed to get Kennedy's Thanksgiving dress embroidered and look around for a couple things, of course we had to get a treat (helllllo Great American Cookie) and the kids got to play for a bit too. 

My sweet Tristan at open house the other night. He is learning so much this year in the first grade!!

Dwight's mom and step-dad came over to watch the kids for me Tuesday night so I could go to "mom's night in" at my friend, Paige's house. We laughed so hard, talked not so deeply, sipped on drinks, munched on snacks, and just enjoyed adult conversations. I love these ladies so much!! Our group texts throughout the day keep me going and laughing hard. These are my people!

Amari lost two teeth at basketball practice last Sunday. He was so excited and I was slightly grossed out. Haha!

This guy. He gets me. I get him. I am so thankful for him and our family. As our four year anniversary approaches, I am reminded of all that God has brought us through and I am excited to see where he is taking us. At the end of the day it is him, me, and our children. For that, I am thankful.

I cannot believe Thanksgiving is this week!! I have lots of fun planned for this family of mine. I hope each of you have a happy, safe, and blessed Thanksgiving!!
