Super Sunday!

Is it Sunday Already?? !! This weekend flew by. Today we went to church and came straight over to Tripp and Hope's house to babysit. Tristan loves, loves, loves playing over here, he loves being around other kids. We ate lunch and then went outside, both Hope and Tripp just celebrated their birthdays so there were lots of new toys to play with. Their favorite one was a water table...I think I'm going to have to get Tristan one! They splashed and played, and played in it for over an hour. Then it was time to play "golf", Tripp got golf clubs and they thought it was too fun to use them to hit a giant balloon from the party. We wrapped up our afternoon in their home movie theater watching...Hannah Montana and eating popcorn. Ha! I am so grateful Tristan has so many little friends that he can play with, I can't wait to show him all of the pictures one day of him and all his buddies!
He LOVES to ride this little car!

I found him before church playing under his table! :)

Sweet, little face.

We matched today!

I picked him up from the nursery and he had this Jesus sticker on his hand, SO adorable.

Playing with Tripp

They had SO much fun!!

Tristan loves climbing up the stairs, usually he walks but he decided to crawl.

Eating popcorn and watching cartoons!

They love this theater!

About to go on a walk while Tripp napped.

These kiddos love to be outside

Tristan had no shorts because they were soaked after the water table.

:)

We did sidewalk chalk!

A glimpse of our week!

I felt so accomplished on Friday at 3:30pm. After 1 week of class from 8am to 5pm, 2 papers, 3 test, a group presentation and 5 daily assignments, I was THREE credits away from graduating!!! It was my last class to take at DBU, ever..so surreal, I will never sit in a DBU classroom again, my last class is online. The next time I will be on campus will be to walk across that stage with my diploma in hands!! :) Tristan had a hard time with me being gone so much. By the end of each day my mom was texting me wondering where I was b/c little man was walking around saying "mommy, mommy, mommy..." T-boy is really getting good with names. He knows everyone in our family and our friends. He is saying "Mimi, Poppy, Mommy, Ashy, MEL (he always screams her name...I don't know why! ha ) Nat, Grace, Hope, Nanny and Pa. It is SO cute to here him talk.

I forgot to post the pics last Sunday on my post...here is TK playing with his trains!

T with aunt Ashley last week when she came to visit.

I managed to snap a few shot of my boy before I went to class last week.

Love my little man!

On Thursday night I took Tristan to get his first ice cream cone from Braums. I told the lady at the drive through to put VERY LITTLE ice cream in it, I even said it was for a 1 year old. She didn't listen...Tristan ate the WHOLE thing. I do not know what in the heck happen...if T is just use to eating healthy food and his body has a hard time with sweets, if it was the amount of dairy or just an off night but OH MY WORD, I will never give that boy ice cream again!! He morphed into another child. My mom and I were in shock. He woke up about 7 times that night, crying, shaking, screaming for his Mimi and it was nothing less than horrible. Just a testament of how little kid's bodies just don't need that junk. I was just trying to be nice and get him a treat...next time his treat will be healthy! Ha! Well before the chaos I got some cute pictures of him enjoying his treat, little did I know what was to come. :)

Before the storm...eating his ice cream cone

He was SO happy, at the moment!

Sharing our cones. :)

So yummy!!

Then he accidentally spilled his entire cone on my lap...oh goodness!

Weekend Wrap Up!

We had a busy but fun weekend! Friday Tristan went to school from 9:30am to 1:30pm, I picked him up about 45 minutes early because Mimi and I were taking him to Safari Park in Southlake. He was asleep on his little cot but realized I was taking him and got upset, he never wants to leave school! After he got in the car he calmed down. His school pictures came in, they are TOO cute for words, I'll have to scan a couple and post them! We were the only people at Safari Park so Tristan got free reign, we had a really good time. After that we came home for a little bit then Tristan and I went to Faith's house and had dinner with her and her mom. I didn't have my camera, I wish I would've because she is getting so big and is still as cute as can be! While the steaks were being grilled I took the two little ones on a wagon ride to their neighborhood playground. Of course neither of them wanted to leave there either!

Mimi and TK walking into Safari Park!

The 1st thing he wants to play with...the exact same train table we have at home! Ha.

I drug him over to the ball pit....

And the soft play area...

Then to ride the big train!

Last but not least he got to ride the life size mechanical zebra!

Saturday Mimi, Tristan and I got up pretty early and ran some errands. The weekend wouldn't be complete with out at least one trip to Target! After that we grabbed some lunch at Chipotle where Tristan ate his own kids meal, such a big boy!! We pulled into the driveway and Tristan started saying "no...no...!" He loves being out of the house, so my mom said well we could go to Tuesday Morning...I don't know if you have ever been there but go!! We found the softest, beautifulest (even a word??) yellow Chanel blanket for Tristan, regularly $40 on sale for SIX dollars!! He is in love with it. By then we were all exhausted and came home and waited for Aunt Ashley to come over, she hadn't see Tristan in 2 weeks, that is a LONG time for her, trust me! Have I mentioned I have the best big sis ever? She kept Tristan for 3 hours and sent me to the salon, her treat so I could get my hair done. Thanks Ash, love you bunches!! I came home and they were shocked, I got my hair chopped off! I love my long hair but A.) It's so much to manage and I just don't have the time to wake up and fix it every morning the way it requires in order to look decent. B.) It's summer, in Texas and that means HOT so I didn't want to deal with that this year. C.) It was not too healthy so I'm starting from scratch! :)  I came home and Ashley was holding Tristan like a 2 month old baby...I have no clue why but he lets her do this, often. Ha! Those two are funny together, I just let them be.

Always has a blankie! He really hasn't had his pacy much lately but he does here...

Eating lunch at Chipotle, too big for the high chair!

Look mom, a chip!

I love all his funny faces! :)

Sound asleep with his new blanket and his old one...he just can't get enough of them!

Yes, my son has on play high heels...the little girls that were over were wearing them and he HAD to put them on. Ha!

Me, Tristan and Mya after my hair cut!

Today, Tristan and I didn't go to church. I have my mini-term this week which is taking and finishing 1 class that would usually take 15 weeks to do, in 1 week. Crazy, I know but its a super easy class. So, I'll be in school M-F from 8am to 5pm each day then it'll be over with! Anyway, with that in mind I decided to just take it easy today and Tristan decided to join me! :)

Me and my sweet boy, it only took 5 minutes to fix my hair, thats my kind of hair-do! :)

The back is super short, she cut off about 10 inches!

Well I doubt I'll be blogging much this week so until next time, have a wonderful week!

Busy Boy!

This has been another super mellow week. I am so not use to all this down time. I haven't had THIS much free time since I took a semester off from school to have Tristan. I wake up, take T boy to school, come home get stuff done, watch the View, eat breakfast, spend time in the Word and take shower then its time to get my boy! I know Tristan's teachers must think "What happened to this woman??" I use to drop him off dressed for school or my internship so I looked nice, the past 2 weeks its been sweats, athletic shorts, flip flops and crazy hair pushed back with sunglasses. Ha! That is all about to end; next week I have my mini term class from 8 to 5 Mon-Fri and after that I start volunteering and possibly working at the pregnancy center in Dallas that I interviewed at yesterday and LOVED. It is everything I want in a job, exactly where I feel I am called to so if the Lord sees fit, it's where I'll be!

Eating his dry cereal before school!

Wearing his new Nikes! I love little boy shoes.

Today my mom and I picked Tristan up from school together. Before he saw us, we watched him through the classroom window. He was having the BEST time ever. We really love that fact that Tristan enjoys school SO much. It has been one of the best things for him. Once he saw us, he picked up toys and started showing off. He did not want to leave, I'm telling you school to this little man is like Disney World!! Every day the kids do a craft and I didn't realize we could take them home so I picked up ALL the crafts he has made since he started. It was so sweet to see everything he made! After school we went to Target, stocked Tristan up on his supplies and of course we can't leave Target with out a couple of cute outfits. Mimi is just as bad as I am with shopping for him, she just likes to pretend she is under control. :) Afterwords we went to Chipotle, Tristan can eat an entire quesadilla kids meal by himself! My parents had to go to a neighborhood meeting tonight so T and I played outside with his bubble machine and then went on a walk. I am pooped! Tomorrow we are taking our boy to Safari Park in Southlake; let the fun summer activities begin!

Love that sweet face!

Can you see how filthy my child is??!! Mimi gave him a cookie! :)

That bubble machine is intense and he loves it!

Ready for our walk!

My Gateway Group Girls!

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE my Gateway girls...well I should say women since they're all married with children but at heart we are all still girls! I love each and every one of them, its so fun to see what each brings to the group; Anna always has a funny, crazy story to tell, Callie's laugh is contagious, she's the kind of person that literally lights up a room when she walks in, Kristen has to be one of the sweetest people God has ever made, Dana, is the cutest pregnant lady I've ever seen and is always willing to listen, Lindsey is HILARIOUS, Audrey has the softest, sweetest spirt, Felicia hears God like no one I know, when she talks...we listen!, Erin is the kind of mom that every mom should be; calm, cool and collective, she is too precious, Annette is so wise and encouraging, Janell is SUPER mom with twins and can always make us laugh,  Bethany has the sweetest, genuine heart, Maria is the cutest, most adorable woman ever and last but certainly not least is Kris, our leader. I cannot say enough about Kris, she has been a friend, mom, encourager and more to me. She has selflessly opened up her house and welcomed us all in, we are a loud bunch of babes and somehow she has managed to quiet us, teach us, challenge us and lead us. Love my ladies!

Sweet Hudson, Kris' youngest daughter!

Today we had the end of the year party for this semester. God has done AMAZING things in our group. 3 of the women are pregnant, one of the women, Audrey was told that she could not have children but of course our God is in control and has the final word. I heard the LOUDEST roar of laughter and screaming (mostly Callie!! :) from the kitchen today. Audrey had announced that she is 7 weeks pregnant!!! We are so excited for her. I can't wait to see what else God has in store for all of these precious women, myself and our babies. I am so thankful to be a member of Gateway and to have all the wonderful women and babies in my life! We got a huge group picture on Kris' camera so I'll have to get it from her and post it.
