Weekend Wrap Up

Last week was full of so much fun and activities. The kids were worn OUT by Friday, and so was I!

The kids still argue about who gets to hold the baby, so I literally have to time them all for 5 minutes before it is time to pass her to the next one. Thankfully Kenny is a good sport...for now. Ha!

Friday night, one of the VBS' that the kids attended had a little event. The kids got to make their own sno cones, play games, and watch a "critter show". They loved it! Here they are at the end of the show petting this python. I gladly took the picture and kept my distance. Yuck!!

Kennedy enjoyed riding around in her stroller (which she does a lot of) and looking around. Such a happy baby!

No carnival is complete without a little face paint. ;)

After the carnival we ate dinner at Chick Fil A. I told Dwight this was as close to a date night as we were getting for the weekend...the kids at one table (minus K), and us at another. Ha!
*side note* Dwight's ''little" cousin came and stayed with us for a few days. The kids loved having him over! He was so sweet and helpful with the them. However, people kept asking if he was my son. I told Dwight "I DO NOT look old enough to have a 14 year old...right?!?" haha

Saturday, Bri and Amari went home, and Tristan had a day of fun with my parents at Sandy Lake Amusement Park. Kennedy and I went to Dallas with daddy to watch him coach two games. His cousin got to play in the games (and did amazing), so it was fun! We ended the night at dinner, then came home and crashed.

Little miss personality was all smiles. I must give her at least 1,000 kisses every day. The cuteness is just too much for me to handle!!

Baby girl in her stroller...again. When you weigh 15 lbs at nearly 3 months of age, your mama can only carry you around for so long. Ha!

Sunday, Kennedy and I slept in and enjoyed the day at home. Poor Dwight was up at 5:30am so he could go and coach the remainder of his tournament, he didn't get home until nearly 8pm. Tristan came home and our weekend came to a close.

I can't believe it is almost the 4th of July! We have several festive things planned for this week. Let the fun begin!!

A week of VBS

This week has been BUSY but fun!
The kids attended 2 Vacation Bible Schools, our days were jammed packed.
Mon-Fri from 9am to 12pm they attended a vbs at a church of one of our friends. They loved it! On Wed/Thurs they attended a second VBS from 1:30pm to 4:30pm at our church. Lets just say they slept realllly good at night this week! ;)

Kennedy and I had lots of 1 on 1 time this week. We both enjoyed it!
Here they are day 3 of VBS. I love that they have had fun learning about Jesus all week!

Day 3 of VBS at our church. Gigantic robot = boys obsessed.

Ken and I shopped while the kids were in their afternoon VBS the first day. We also got stuck in a horrible storm. That rain was no joke! Luckily K slept through the whole thing,  I am amazed every day how good this baby is. She is just so sweet and chill. Dwight's younger cousin has spent time with us this week and said "I've never seen a baby who doesn't cry..." Ha! She does cry, but its only because she is hungry or tired. Other than that, she is one happy baby girl!

Briley and Tristan at VBS. I love everything about this picture. Briley's mom and my oldest sister, Ashely, have known each other since they were in the 5th grade. It is so sweet to see these two together. It looks like they are on a date...I would be totally okay if they wed someday! ;)

Melissa, Briely's mom, works at the church that they are attending VBS at. She has sent me pictures and videos of the kids all week. I love it! Tristan got on stage and helped lead songs one day. My shy little boy is becoming quite the outgoing child!

Gold jellies and gold sparkle leggings on little baby feet/legs...yes, please!

Yesterday I enjoyed lunch and shopping with some of my favorite girls!
It is always fun to spend time with my sisters. They love my children so much, it truly is such a blessing to me. Tristan and Kennedy are blessed to have them as aunties.

Aunt Ashley on baby duty at lunch. Ha! She sure does love this girl.

The girls and I went to Corner Bakery for lunch. I indulged in this gigantic cookie and some delicious pasta. It was a-mazing!!

After our outing it was time to pick the littles up from VBS #2. They had the biggest smiles on their faces!

Last night Kenny had some tummy time. She is getting so strong!
I can't believe she will be 12 weeks old tomorrow. Every day with her is a joyful one!

My little chunkalicious love!

Summer days!

Our summer days are in full swing at the Coleman house!
The smell of (non-toxic ha!) sunscreen permeates the air, glasses of fresh lemonade are on the table, and wet bathing suits hang to dry. These are the little things of summer that I love.
I love extra time with my babies, carefree nights, and endless amounts of fun. It is the best!

Yesterday evening, I took the kids to the splash park. They had so much fun running around and getting wet! This was after a full day at vacation bible school, so as you can imagine...they slept great last night. Thank you, Lord!

Kennedy squeezed, and I mean sq-ueezed into her bikini and sat with me while the kids played. I haven't put her in the water yet. For now, she just watches in amazement from afar. :)

Chubbalicious.

Such a fun place for the kids to get wet, run around, and I can watch them while holding the babe. Perfect!

Happy kids!!

Before the splash park, daddy wanted to go on a family walk. The kids road their bikes and we pushed Kennedy in the stroller. This is what life is about!

I love mornings with my sweet girl. They are the best. We sent the older kids off to their second day of VBS and they were so excited. As I was backing out of the garage I heard my husband screaming bloody murder. I was INCHES from ramming into the side of our other car. The sheer panic in the poor mans face/voice is one I will never forget. Ha! I can just imagine that insurance call now..."I hit our car with our other car..." Thankfully, he stopped me before I did so. I'm not sure how I didn't see it RIGHT behind me. Whoops!

Happy Tuesday! :)

The weekend

Friday night, the hubs and I went on a date.
We went to BJ's for dinner and to see 'Think Like a Man 2' at the movies afterwards.
Dinner was delicious and the movie was hilarious.
A big thank to my MIL for coming over and keeping all 4 kids!

One of my absolute favorite things of the weekend is spending endless time with this sweet girl!
I have so much fun being her mama.

My parents surprised Tristan with a new kitten! Their old cat, Cowboy, died after 21 years with our family. Tristan took it pretty rough because he loved that cat so much. They waited a couple months and decided it was time. Meet, Emily...or Lucky. T hasn't finalized a name, but those are his top choices. Ha!

Sisters before bedtime!!
Brianna made sure to let me know that she told G-momma all the do's and don'ts regarding Kennedy on Friday night. This girl is like a 2nd mama. :)

Somehow the weekend is over, but that's okay. We have a full week ahead of us. The three older kids will be going to VBS this week and they are SO excited.

TGIF!

Friday, my favorite day of the week!

Summer is in full swing at our house...
Evening walks, water-gun battles, popsicles,Vacation Bible School, sports camp, swimming, late night movies, upcoming vacations, and more.
I love this time of the year.

Tonight, Dwight and I are going on a much needed date night. It is good to slow down and enjoy each other's company with out interruptions. I love "dating" my husband. :)

Kennedy turns 11 weeks old tomorrow, how is that even possible?!?
This little girl is FULL of life. She is genuinely the happiest/sweetest/chubbiest baby in town.
Koko loves to "talk", laugh, take baths, cuddle with daddy, and go on walks. She is such an easy baby and I feel blessed by it.

Her big brother has been super busy (and in no mood for pictures), but sweet as ever. Last night, just the three of us took a mile walk and afterwards he told me "thank you, mommy...I had so much fun." Oh how I love his heart!

**blurry pics because she was kicking and cooing...she gets SO excited!**

Happy Friday!!

Father's Day celebrations 2 & 3

So much to celebrate this Father's Day!
Dwight is not only a great husband, he is an AMAZING father.
We adore him.

Dwight works so hard to provide for our family, he is never too tired to play basketball outside with the boys, read books to Brianna, or rock miss Kennedy to sleep. The first thing he does when he comes in at night from work (the kids are usually in bed), is go to each of their rooms to kiss and check on them.

It has been the sweetest thing to watch him father Kennedy. Dwight has always been amazing with the kids, but she has brought out an even softer side of him. He absolutely loves that girl, and she knows it. He is very protective over her. VERY. I wanted to do a weekend get away, just the two of us, but he said he isn't read to leave her over night yet. Yep, this girl has him wrapped around her little finger. I love it.

The kids always want to take individual photos with Kennedy.
They crack me up arguing over who gets to hold her in the pictures...so we take turns. Ha!

Our weekend wouldn't be complete without at least one basketball game. ;)

Sunday, Dwight had to coach two games, which the kids and I went to cheer him on at. Afterwards we went to lunch, and then came home for a relaxing evening. We ended our night with a walk around the block; moments like these I want to freeze. I love the simplicity of it all.

Family "selfie" :)

Saturday was our day with Dwight's dad! The kids love their Paw pa and were so excited to see him.
We catered Mexican food and had a little family fiesta. Yum!

This baby, I cannot get enough of her. She is the sweetest!!

Cue the individual pictures. Ha!

Ken is such a good sport...for now. ;)

I love this boy so much. I don't care how old he gets, he will always, always be my baby.

My oldest girl. She is a sweetie for sure.

Happy Father's day, Pawpa!
