Headed home!

It has taken me a full week after returning home to finish up our vacation posts, but here is the last one!


Saturday morning we woke up, ate breakfast and got ready to make our 9 hour drive home.

We had such a wonderful time and it was hard to leave.

Ash and I sported our souvenir shirts. :)

This picture cracked me up. I'm not sure who took it but it definitely captures the "behind the scenes" moments. I am holding T's pillow pet between my legs because the boys kept fighting over it and I had to keep it "safe", all while bribing Tristan with a marsh mellow to take ONE more picture. Ha!!

We loaded up the car, said our goodbyes and headed home...

Tristan got to indulge in his first Dairy Queen shake on our way back.

There are no more DQ's in North Texas so we were excited to eat there!

And here we are at yet another "stretching stop"...it's rough to drive for 9 hours straight!

Yes, we are that family...the one who matches. Ha! I kept wondering why people were staring, then I would remember we were all dressed alike. Ha! Mom even got Natalie and Melody shirts...that should definitely turn some heads, 5 grown women, matching. :)

After a few more stops, dinner at Chili's and getting lost a few times, we made it home around 11:30pm.

It was SO nice to get away; take a break from school, seeing clients and every day life to relax. This week has been right back to busy as usual...but in about 2 weeks I'll be out of school for a month and enjoying more holiday festivities!

This weekend will consists of packing (we move in 7 days!!), spending time with the kids (Bri and Amari are coming over) and studying (finals are coming up!). So much to look forward to and thank God for.

I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!!!

Sight Seeing!

Friday, we did some sight seeing.

After cruising down Ocean Drive and looking at all the beautiful mansions on the ocean front, we headed to see the USS Lexington.

It was amazing how HUGE this thing was. It had multiple planes on top of it, so cool!

After touring the Lexington we headed to a cool little surf shop and picked up some fun shirts...we were such tourist. Ha!

I have to end this post with a sweet comparison picture (in front of the same tree).

The last time we were in Corpus was Thanksgiving of 2008.

Tristan was 10 weeks old and life was SO different. I can't help but smile at where we have come.

God is good!

Thanksgiving at the Beach

My favorite part of our vacation was visiting the beach.

It was absolutely beautiful. The weather was perfect, and Tristan LOVED it.

We took so many pictures (imagine that!). I had a hard time picking my favorites...so here are a ton! :)

This was Tristan's first time at the beach and he was in heaven. It was the sweetest thing to see.

He kept asking "are there sharks?" Ha!

What a perfect day!! Dwight and I will definitely be coming back together when he comes home. I'm thinking summer vacation 2013!
