What a spectacular, perfect, beautiful, AMAZING weekend we had.
I just can't believe how things turned out and how incredibly faithful the Lord is, even when we are so undeserving.
Thursday I had to work for about 4 hours and while I did, Dwight took all three kids to Brianna's doctor's appointment and then to the park for a picnic. He sent me pictures of them playing and enjoying their lunch (I think I have finally broken him on the picture thing. ha!!). After work I went home to get Brianna so we could start our girls night. We stopped by Sonic to grab a drink then went to get pedicures and manicures while the boys stayed home and cooked dinner. Bri had such a good time and was such a big girl. It was precious to see her face light up when she saw the wall of nail polish. I truly love this little girl (and mr. Amari) like my own. I can't imagine my life with out her and the days she is not with us, I miss her. Needless to say we got some good mother/daughter time in.
That night Dwight and the boys went to his dad's house to spend the night and Bri and I stayed at the apartment with my sister Ashley so we could have more girl time and prepare for the wedding the next day!
I stayed up until 2am cleaning, organizing, making space for Dwight's things and making mine and Tristan's apartment, "Dwight, Brianna, Amari, Tristan and my" apartment. I wanted to wait for Dwight to leave before doing this so that when he came home after the wedding it would be a surprise. I had our family photos printed, bought new frames, switched out old pics in other frames and replaced them with updated pics. If you have ever been to my apartment, you know its a gallary of Tristan so I had to make room for my other 2 sweet babies. Brianna was SO excited and loved watching me.
After doing 4 loads of laundry, cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, redecorating, putting fresh flowers out and making the apartment feel like home for everyone, I called it a "night" at 2am in the morning. I woke up Friday morning at 6:30am with 1,000 butterflies in my stomach. I knew there was no way I could sleep so I woke up and got a few more things checked off my to do list. Dwight had texted me at 6:20am so I knew he was excited and couldn't sleep either! After a quick phone call to my love I was ready to start the BIG day. :)
My sisters, Ashley and Melody, along with one of my bffs, Krystle came over to help me get ready.
Krys brought lunch over and stayed with me the rest of the day. We had so much fun, I will always cherish that time with her... just 2 months ago I was helping her get ready for her wedding and had NO CLUE she would be doing the same for me shortly after!
Mel was my makeup artist and a fabulous one at that!
Krys drove Brianna and I downtown to the courthouse and helped keep my stress levels down. Ha! We hit traffic, had trouble with the parking meter and I just knew the rest of the group would get stuck in rush hour traffic. After years of ups and downs, 14 days of planning for the big day and hours of getting ready...I was finally at the courthouse, ready to marry the man of my dreams.
To be continued....!!

Krys putting the broach in my hair. I love how intently Brianna is watching!
I put my shoes on but didn't have them zipped up all the way. Before I realized it, Brianna was on the floor fixing them. How sweet is she?!?!!
I love her!!

Walking up the steps to the courthouse to meet daddy and the boys.
