This week

We did it! We survived our first week back at school. Early mornings, homework, nightly routines, a few attitude adjustments, and just the craziness that comes along with the transition from summer to fall. Even still, it was a wonderful week and the boys LOVE 1st grade!

Kennedy is adjusting to being the "only child" during the day. This girl loves her siblings and looks for them as soon as she wakes up. Some mornings she was up before they left, but a few mornings she wasn't and I could tell she missed seeing them.

I picked Tristan up from his first day of school (Amari's mom picked him up) and took him to get a treat at Sonic. I wanted to hear all about his day! I love this boy so much it hurts. :)

Second day! Tristan begged me not to walk him into school. He assured me he was good and had it down. Whhhhat? I literally told him, "Tristan, why? I'm such a cool mom!" It was in that instant I knew I needed to get a grip and move on. Ha!!

Dwight has been working from home most mornings, going in to his coaching office in the afternoon and then has evening practices. This has allowed for a couple of impromptu lunch dates...with a third wheel. ;) Tuesday we walked the entire mall searching for new basketball shoes for Tristan. I think Kevin Durant and Steph Curry have lost their little minds on their kid's line. I mean, do they know how fast children's feet grow?!?!! Daddy PROMISED T a new pair though so we hunted for a "bargain" and found our boy some new shoes. He was thrilled. I was thinking about how he better wear those shoes for 3 years straight. Ha!

We are enjoying the "cooler" evening weather and taking full advantage of our neighborhood park.

Day three! Mid-week. We got this!

Workout in the morning, grocery shopping in the afternoon. This is what friends are for!

Day 4!

And day 5! We made it to Friday!! TGIF

First day of 1st grade!

Happy first day of school to my big boys! I pray your year is BLESSED and that you rock the 1st grade!! So proud of the little men you have become. :)

Mimi continued her tradition of delivering homemade blueberry muffins to T this morning. His favorite!

Amari's mom met us at our house so we could take pictures before school.

Little sister tried staying at the school but dada is NOT ready for that. Ha!

Brianna's mom sent me this picture of her and her other little sister! Dwight is going to drive out to her house and take her to school tomorrow morning. :)

Happy first day of school, my loves!!

Last week of summer

And just like THAT, summer is over!
I love summer. I love the freedom and fun that it brings! This summer we played hard, relaxed a lot, spent  lots of time with family and friends, and lived life to the fullest. With that said, I am always ready to welcome the fall, routine, cooler weather, holidays, and everything else that the change in seasons brings!

I made sure to have something fun each day for the kids and me to do last week. We needed to end summer on a BANG! ;) So thankful for this sweet time with my children, the memories that were made, and all the sweetness it brought us.

Kennedy and Liberty enjoyed some fun in the sun together. These girls are total opposites in every way possible. If you can't tell from the picture, one is super spunky and one is seriously serious. They genuinely love each other though, and I am having so much fun watching their bond develop.

The boys played slip n slide and soaked in the kiddy pool while Krystle and I worked out. We recorded a video with the girls for Kry's fitness instagram account, and it might be my favorite thing we have done to date. :)

Some ice cream cake to cool off!

Some summer time reading!

And sweet kisses good night.

I love this girl BIG!

Swimming and movie night with friends!

And Ken Ken destroying miss Trish's kitchen. Trish was so sweet to let her take apart her cabinets. Clearly Ken is thrilled about doing so!

When big brothers are in charge... :)

Bubble Land fun!

Meet the teacher night for our 1st graders. These boys just won't stop growing. I keep saying how I feel like they were JUST in diapers. Time flies!!

I can't keep Ken Ken out of the kitchen. Between eating and pulling out every single cooking ware item I own, she stays busy in there. I'll catch her and she just looks at me like, "Who, me?!"

But seriously, y'all. I can't get enough of her. I could literally eat her up! I constantly kiss and nibble on her little cheeks. She is just the sweetest, most friendliest baby I know! She gets SO excited to see her friends and anyone she knows. She will randomly walk up to me and give a kiss or hug. The girl never stops, and keeps me on my toes...but she is pure sweetness and has my heart.

I have a Sesame Street junkie on my hands!!

Movie night! Tristan and I were enjoying a movie when little sis began crying in her room. I went to check on her and she reached up for me, no way I could just leave her in there. I picked little miss up and brought her out to the living room to join us, when I went to take this picture she gave the biggest smile ever. She was a happy girl!!

Feeding her baby.

Date night with my main squeeze.

Ken totally "owns" her dada. There is nothing this man will not do or give this girl. Like I say, I have to watch these two!

Cookout and swimming with our new neighbors! I love having community with those around us.

Our house backs up directly to our new neighbors (you can spot us by the massive bball goal). We met them because they left a note on our door about replacing the connecting fence. From there we all hit it off and decided to get together for some fun and fellowship. The boys had the best time swimming and playing volleyball!

Team Juice end of the summer party!

Good bye summer, you were good to us. Hello, Fall! We eagerly await you!
