My Gap Baby!
I know I am his momma and a tad bit bias BUT I thought I would share these precious pictures of Tristan modeling one of his many birthday outfits from his aunt Melody. Who says dressing little boys can't be fun??!! :)

Tristan's Toy Of The Day!
Tristan's bithday party was SUPER fun and he got a TON of gifts...so many that I slowly introduced them to him, it was like his birthday for 7 days straight with a new fun toy everyday! Our house officially looks like Toys R Us. :)

Mrs. Barlow got him his first car! :)

This was my present to him; it is in all the Cook dr's offices and Tristan always loves playing with them so he has one of his own now!

One of my best friends, Allie got him this and he loves to walk/ride on it.

again!

My college roomate got him water basketball and its all he wants to play with in the tub!

His first hoop from Ms. Melissa and Briley!

Last but certainly not least is the "ball popper" from aunt Jill. He LOVES this toy...the balls FLY in the air, so I spend half of the time chasing after them.
The sad thing is, there are even more toys but those are some of his favorites! We still need to put together his wagon from Mimi and Poppy and start our fall walks; can't wait!

1 Year Check Up!
Today was my BIG boy's 1 year check up! I can't believe I have a toddler! Unlike every other time Tristan wanted down out off my lap to explore his surroundings. Normally I wouldn't care if he crawled and met some new friends I just didn't think that the floor of Cook Children's pediatric office was the place to put my little man. He definitely knows how to throw temper tantrums now and he let me know he was not happy with my decision! I had to distract him with the pretty fish tank and looking out the windows. If only he could walk...soon, right? :) After the doctor visit we met Mimi for some yummy food at McAllisters!
Everything looked great. Tristan is 22.6lbs, the 50th percentile for weight and is 32 inches tall, the 95th percentile for height. He got 2 shots; but I decided not to get him the flu shot. I love our dr he is very supportive of whatever decisions I make. I know that a lot of parents are pro-flu shots and other vacines that after researching I don't think are necessary especially under our circumstances; Tristan not being in daycare or around other children much. Also, Tristan is now on WHOLE milk! No more formula...well we still have a couple of cans that we'll use if we're out and can't access milk. I am using Organic milk and he LOVES it. I talked to Dr. Deitchman about it today and he said Organic milk really is best since there are no added growth hormones and the cows are fed organic grains and raised "green". I mixed his first bottle of milk with 1 oz of his yo-baby liquid yogurt and he ate it up...ICE COLD! Which is a big deal because he never, ever took formula cold. Yay for getting older! Here are some pics from our day!

Looking fly in his new Puma jogging suit and Nike shoes mommy got him!

Trying to keep him entertained so he stays off the floor!

It worked for about 45 seconds

My baby model!

He knew something was coming his way that he didn't want...shots!

Out to lunch!

Tristan made friends with everyone sitting on the patio, they all stopped by to tell him how cute he is; I am not bias or anything, but I agree. :)

Oh he melts my heart!

He was not in a "picture taking" mood, he better learn that mommy LOVES to take pictures!

Tristan's 1st Birthday Bash!
Tristan's 1st birthday turned out EXACTLY how I hoped it would be. It was laid back, full of fun and people who love Tristan to pieces. We decided to "keep it simple" and have it at my parent's house. The weather was perfect so we made it an indoor/outdoor party. I am so grateful that God has blessed my son and I with so many friends and family who have been apart of his precious life and were able to join us for his birthday celebration! There are lots of pictures so enjoy! :)
My mom and I designed the birthday cake together for the bakery!
Tristan with his Nanny and Pa!
Singing "Happy Birthday"!
"Not too sure about this...am I allowed to eat this mom? It's not organic!"
One of my favorite presents was this foot stool with Tristan's name on it and scripture on the side that read " A man's steps are directed by the Lord" Proverbs 20:24
His first $1 bill!
Tristan and I with my sisters, the best aunts, ever!
Tristan and I with 3 of my best friends.
His loot of gifts!
Mimi and Poppy got him a wagon!
HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TRISTAN!!!
