Splish, Splash Park Fun!

Summer fun is in full force!

We've had something on our calendar just about every day and are enjoying every minute of it.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...I am so blessed to spend this time at home with no other distractions, and even more blessed to have precious friends for not only myself, but the kids to enjoy. We are blessed!

Today, the boys and I met a group of friends from church to splash around at a neighborhood splash park!

It was a bit overcast, but the kids didn't mind one bit. =)

Splash parks have become really popular, especially with those of us who have little ones. It's the perfect way to have fun, stay cool and not have to worry about the water since there is none standing. There are four parks  that we rotate around in the Colleyville/Grapevine/Southlake/Trophy Club area, so fun!

The boys came home and took a 3.5 hour nap!! It's safe to say that they had a fun day. =) Next week we start our summer movie pass, more splash park fun, summer Bible study class, and other activities I've planned. Life isn't slowing down so I am soaking up every minute of it that I can! 

Memorial Day

We are so blessed to live in the land of the FREE! That freedom, however, came with a price. I am so thankful for the men and women who laid down their lives to fight for our country so we can enjoy such freedom. It's fun to get together, see family, BBQ, laugh, and enjoy a 3 day weekend-but it's important to ackowledge that there are too many families remembering their solider and mourning their lost lives.

In honor of those precious lives lost, we dressed in our red,white, and blue.

Proud to be an American! =)

Dwight and I hosted over 25 people at our home. It was crazy, chaotic, and SO much fun!!

My sweet hubs! We had our hands FULL but Dwight said it best, "we are blessed to have so many people in our lives to spend time with!" I agree. You can't tell but his shirt has red/white/blue stripes on it. When he walked out I just smiled, he won't admit it...but he waits until I get dress and dress the kids, then he coordinates. He is the best! =)

She made her famous cupcakes (homemade batter, icing and all)...50 of them, and they were a hit.

Dwight's dad was in charge of all the meats and his famous BBQ beans (I could literally eat an entire batch alone) and everyone else brought a dish. There was so much food and it was all so yummy!

Brandy has a 4 week old baby, he has been over more times than I can count. Dwight usually just looks at him, but yesterday he said "Okay, I think I'm ready to hold him." Ha! So sweet. Malazii looked teeny tiny in Dwight's arms

The best family picture we could get. Tristan had hit his limit and was sooo tired, both boys had a shoe change I was unaware of (probably so they could run faster), and Dwight is squinting. Gotta love it! Ha!

Everyone left around 5:30pm, so we bathed the kids and waited for the sun to set so we could show them their surprise...sparklers!

They were nervous at first but then loved it.

I think we are ready for the fourth of July!

It is such a blessing to have so many people in our lives that we call family and friends. I didn't do a very good job getting every one's pictures, but it was so special to have all 3 sets of grandparents, cousins, second cousins, siblings, and friends together.

Thank you to those who have given your life for our freedoms, and for the families that they left behind, I can't even imagine.

Weekend Wrap Up!

What a busy, busy weekend we had!

Friday, Tristan and I met Mimi to go ride the little miniature train in downtown Fort Worth. Before we went, T went "driving" with daddy and somehow talked him into giving him $10 to put in his pocket. What?!?Wrapped around his finger... =)

It was a fun train ride! I packed organic suckers (found them at Sprouts) and some other healthy snacks so the concessions stand wouldn't be a temptation. Oh my little boy, he loves him some sweets/salty treats. He talked Mimi into a box of popcorn. After expressing my disliking of it, she said "Tiffany, it's better to eat  oreos with friends then broccoli alone." Ha! Okay, Mimi, fine. JUST THIS ONCE! ;)

Happy boy! It started POURING on the ride back to the station. T loved it, my hair hated it. Ha!

Friday night, Bri Bri came over. Tristan loved getting some one on one time with his big sis. They have such a sweet friendship.

We went to Saturday night service at church (which we've only done once before...I'm definitely a "Sunday church goer" !) because Dwight had a tournament to coach on Sunday. I took this picture of the kids afterwards and posted it on instagram. A friend commented "where is Tristan's right leg?!" I hadn't even noticed but he was holding it up behind him. Haha!

Mr. Amari met up with us after church and we took the kids to DQ. I sent my mom this picture and she asked "what happened to eating healthy?!" I told her "A wise woman once told me, "it's better to eat an Oreo with friends then broccoli alone." ;) It was only fitting that the kids shared an Oreo ice cream. Ha!

Sunday morning we were up BRIGHT and EARLY.

Daddy had two games to coach in Plano (Dallas). The kids did such a good job watching the games.

Everyone (excluding me) wore basketball shoes. Gotta love it!

Dwight's team is made up of guys from Keller and Southlake High school. They did great and won both games! It was a two day tournament (they played Saturday morning too) and came in second place. The guys and their parents are such nice people and we are enjoying the season with them.

The parents wanted the kids to get in on this picture. Daddy even managed to get them metals to have too!

Sunday, after we came home from the tournament, we all took a 3.5 hour nap, every.one.of.us. It was glorious! We woke up around 5pm and I needed to go grocery shopping. I walked outside, was looking down at my phone and saw something HUGE run 2 inches in front of my feet. I looked down and it was a disgusting, big, yucky lizard. I screamed so loud and jumped about 2 feet in the air. I'm pretty sure my neighbors think I'm crazy. I called Dwight to bring the kids out so they could see it, and my worst fear happened...they tried catching it!! I told Dwight that it better not end up in my house. Momma would NOT be happy!! Haha.

Since we had such long/late naps, we decided to take the kids swimming and have a late night pool/picnic.

They LOVED it!

Kid's Fashion

I love shopping (I can see Dwight now, nodding his head profusely)!

After having a child of my own, and inheriting two more, I have found it even more enjoyable! There is just something fun and sweet about little kiddie clothes! I may have spent 2 hours on the internet this morning shopping around for some bright, summer necessities for our three. Brianna is where I get in trouble, seriously...why is little girl stuff SO cute?!?!

I like anything bright for Brianna, her complexion is gorgeous and makes colors pop even more!

I also like to dress her like a little girl ... not a teenager, we have plenty of time to deal with that in the future. ha! Floral prints are one of my favorite for the spring/summer season, which is why I jumped when I saw this swimsuit. Daddy (and I ) like to do one pieces/tankinis for her.

Rompers are another fave of mine. They are light, cute and again, still little girlish. The bows on this romper just melt me.

Chevron is my top favorite print right now. How adorable is this little dress...too cute!

Another fun print bathing suit with bright colors. Nothing says summer like a splash of color!

This little top is so soft and danity, and has ruffles...what more could I ask for? ;)

I am lovin' bubble tops for Bri this summer. I think they are so adorable.

I know its only May but I'm already thinking about the 4th of July wardrobe.. I'm thinking this dress with a big red bow may be perfect for our girl!

A couple more cute swimsuits. With as much as we go swimming/to splash parks/do water activities, it's smart to have a good selection of swimsuits for each kid. I'm sure Dwight whole heartidly agrees! ;)

Okay, there is a glimpse of some girl summer wardrobe choices, I'm not having as easy of a time with the boys. Ha! I have found some bright colored shorts that I love for them! I usually like to pair their stuff with a cute polo or collared shirt. They also need some light summer play clothes to endure the Texas heat that is upon us!

This little shirt and shorts paired with some cute boat shoes/loafers will be perfect for church, evening out with the family or indoor playdate. The boys are SO rough on their clothes, I have to think ahead of where we will be before dressing them.

You can never have too many tee-shirts when it's 95 + degress outside!

And no one can pull off a tank top muscle shirt like a little boy!

Especially mine...they have BIG, STRONG muscles. ;)

I love, love, soft, comfy shorts for them. These are perfect for playdates, afternoons around the house, and can endure the roughness that are little boys! 

I may have a shoe addiction for the kids aswell, but that's another post in itself!

These are perfect for summer/water fun. They are "breatheable" and can get wet...and they're precious!
