Tristan's last day of school

Hello SUMMER! Today is Tristan's last day of preschool. I decided to pull him out of the program temporarily to spend the summer with me. Through out the year he went Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9am to 4pm. Preschool has been one of the best things to happen to my little man. He has learned so much, come out of his shy shell, made friends, and learned how to thrive in a structured environment.

I am absolutely thrilled that I get to spend the entire summer with Tristan and that we do not have to be on a strict schedule of any kind! I cannot speak highly enough of Tristan's school. From his teachers to the facility, it is everything I wanted in a school for him. I remember looking for preschools and going to a few that were less than I had hoped for, when I walked into this one I knew this is where he would be. Fast forward a year and here we are! When Tristan goes back he will be THREE years old and that just blows my mind. I am not positive that he will go to this same location, it just depends where we are in September, our lives have been changing daily so who knows what is in store for us. :)

I snapped a few pictures of the school and Tristan with his class today before I dropped him off. If you are interested in a WONDERFUL preschool in the Keller/Southlake area, let me know and I will give you details! We will definitely continue learning through out the summer, just outside of a classroom setting. Tristan knows his ABC's, all his shapes (hexagon, trapezoid, oval, pentagon, triangle, square, circle etc), the days of the week, numbers 1-20, and his colors so I want to keep that fresh in his memory!

Here is the main lobby of the school.

This is Tristan's classroom. He was in the Early preschool class. Ms. Devin did such a fabulous job taking pictures of the kids and all the fun things they did! You can see some of them on the left of the picture below.

When I dropped Tristan off his class had just gone outside so I got some sweet pictures of them playing that I will cherish forever!

Well I am off to start my 15 page research paper. I was up until 5am working on a project for group counseling...I just have to get through finals next week and then I am done with school too! :)

Easter Sunday

What a fun Easter we had! Saturday night Tristan and I watched the Ten Commandments on tv. We both fell asleep but when I woke up and went into the kitchen I saw that the Easter bunny had come! :) Mimi and I had spent the last couple weeks collecting goodies to go in his basket and she did a great job of putting it all together. Last Easter was a bit like Christmas so we tried to keep it under control. Ha!

The next morning we woke up and Tristan was SO excited to see all his Easter treats! He found a bunch of new cars, a Thomas and Veggie Tales dvd, a Cars (the movie) plate, cup, and bowl set, lots of candy and more!

Showing Nanny and Pa his new stuff!

Me and my sweet boy ready for church!

We got to church a little early so Tristan got to sit in "big church" for a little bit. He got a lot of ohhhs and awwws over his outfit.

After church we came home for an amazing lunch prepared by my wonderful mother!

This was the happiest little boy ever. He loved all the food (especially dessert; pound cake, strawberries, and whipped cream as well as yummy cookies), egg hunting, presents, and attention. I taught Tristan to tell people "He Is Risen!" I know Tristan doesn't fully understand the significance of Easter, yet, but I know he will one day.

He Is Risen!
He Is Risen Indeed!!

Three's Company!

These 3 had such a fun time at dinner tonight!

Time for bed!

Playing with their glow-in-the-dark bracelets!

Story time!

And this picture just cracks me up. The kids are WILD sleepers. I don't know how in the world this was comfortable but every time we moved them, they went back to this position.

Saturday the kids got to have an Easter egg hunt with their grandparents.

G-momma and Papa helping Tristan hunt.

G-momma put money and candy in several eggs so Tristan thought that EVERY egg needed to have that in them. He is a mess. Speaking of that money, I need to go fish it out of his shorts pockets that are in the dirty clothes. He would not let me hold on to it. Ha!

These two are stuck together, I honestly think they think they are twins. :)

Afterwards they went to church in the new clothes g-momma got for them!

Can you tell they adore her?

After church we took the kids to Taco Cabana and ate outside so it was way more relaxed than the other night!

This pretty much sums up our weekend!
