2010!!

Wow...I can't believe its 2010! God has blessed Tristan and I so incredibly much in 2009 and I am SO excited to see what is in store for us in this upcoming year. There are already some HUGE things in our future for the year; I will graduate from college (which still seems surreal to me), I'll have my first REAL job, TK and I will be moving out into our own apartment and whatever else God decides to place in our paths.

New Years Eve my family and I all went to an amazing church service at Gateway and then my mom and sisters took T-man home so I could go to dinner and out with one of my bestfriends, Krystle to ring in the New Year! I didn't get any pics with the little man before we parted ways.
:( But, I have lots of fun stuff planned for us this week and will make up for it! Hope everyone has a blessed New Year!

Tristan's Train Ride & More!!

Wow! We have had a busy, busy weekend...aren't things suppose to slow down after Christmas? :) As if Tristan didn't get enough gifts, my parents decided to top off his train obsession with a REAL train!! ha ha We had a super fun time in downtown Fort Worth stock yards; walking around, eating lots and lots of yummy food, petting the horses, watching the cattle drive and of course...taking pictures! After all that it was time for the train ride at about 6pm. I think Tristan lasted about 10 minutes and then was OUT cold for the whole ride!! But what he was coherent for, he enjoyed. We'll have to go again when he is a bit older.

Ashley, Natalie and I downtown!

Taking pictures with the wolf pups!

I felt so bad, I didn't bring Tristan's nice coat b/c we we're suppose to get down there at 2:30 and get on the train at 3pm but we were told the wrong time so we had to kill time until 6pm so my poor baby had to ride around in a hoodie and blanket! :/

In the beautiful hotel downtown where we had dinner

Tristan trying on a cowboy hat...his head was a little too big! : )

Eating ribs!!

We play at the dinner table. :)

Have I mentioned I love?!

Among many other things I forgot a bib so my boy was mess!

Today we went to church and then afterwards out to lunch with my college roommate/best friend Krystle and her parents at the Cheesecake Factory! YUM :) It has been SO nice to not study or read a book about psychology...Spanish or anything other than my devotional! I am loving my break from school and enjoying it while it last!!

Tristan and Faith after church!

They both had a rough time in class...lots of crying!

Me, TK and Krys at the Cheesecake Factory; Tristan clearly not ready!

There we go! :)

The BEST Christmas Ever!

It's funny how as you get older things stop meaning so much to you rather relationships are what you cherish. Having my son was the most life changing experience. It taught me what it meant to put someone else first. To love someone more than words can express yet has done nothing really to deserve it, except exist. And to sacrifice everything I have for him with out hesitation. What a perfect example, yet just a glimpse of the Father's love for us. This Christmas was so much more than presents (although those are fun too!) It was about being with my family and seeing Tristan's little face light up not because he got a ton of stuff (although believe me, he did!) but because he was around all the people who love him most; a captive audience given the weather conditions. :) There are A LOT of pictures, enjoy!

Christmas eve we spent the day doing last minute shopping until it started snowing like crazy! We decided to come home and enjoy the beautiful gift God gave us all, a white Christmas. Then of course my sister, Ashley insisted we watch the movie "White Christmas" so we did... lol We made yummy sausage balls, queso and some other finger foods and just hung out around the house. My bestfriend Jill came over too!

Christmas day was a little different this year because my grandparents were out of town. They went to Corpus Christi to be with my mom's sister and her family. We sure did miss them, but we had a wonderful day! Mom made a delicious breakfast, we opened presents and ate a late lunch/early dinner, the menu was Mexican food, my favorite!! After everyone's afternoon naps we watched "Christmas Vacation" one of my favorite holiday movies then did a family devotional. The perfect way to end a perfect day! Happy Birthday Jesus!

Tristan's beloved Thomas the train table!
His stocking, filled with pacies, sippy cups, 2 new security blankets, shirt and a train!

You have no idea how EXCITED he was when he walked into the living room and saw this! We got it on video! :)

My gift from T-man. He got me beautiful earrings and a matching heart necklace!

Eating his Christmas breakfast; organic waffles, apples and bananas!

Time for pictures in the snow! ***

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Celebrating and Shopping!

We have had a fun Christmas week! Tuesday night we went to a Christmas party at the Barlow's house and got to see lots of old friends and chat, laugh and eat lots of food!

Tristan had quite the time entertaining EVERYONE at the party, it was too cute.
Today we went shopping in Southlake ALL day long!! Tristan was quite the trooper and we saw how deep his fascination with trains truly is...that being said we decided it's only right he get a train table for Christmas along with the trains and tracks of course. Needless to say most of the gifts under the tree are for him! :) We went to the Owl's Nest a super fun toy store, Pier 1 Imports, Central Market and ate at it's yummy cafe and then to the toy store we ended up buying the table at...I can't think of the name!
In the Owl's Nest!
Tristan decided he was too good for the stroller. ha ha
Window shopping, except we went inside and bought him his train table! lol

He ended up falling asleep with his train in his little hand!

I can't believe tomorrow is Christmas eve, we have lots of fun stuff planned. We are going to try and take Tristan to ride the real train, he will love it!! Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!
