Hey, Sugar!

We met two of my friends at the park to play and then all headed over to the cutest candy store afterwards, one day last week! It is like sugar heaven in there!!
If you live in the Roanoke/Keller/Trophy Club/Southlake area (or near any of them), you have to go to downtown Roanoke and visit here!

I caught Kennedy sneaking candy from these containers. I mean...!!

The kids decided on getting ice cream for their treat!

Sweet girls!

My little lump of sugar baby!

These three girls are truly best little friends and it makes my heart happy. Kennedy is always asking for "Cam" and "Willwo"!

Thankful for sweet friends to do life with!

Randomness

Another couple weeks have gone by...it looks like my blogging has turned into more of checking in every few weeks. For now, that will have to do, life is so busy!

A couple Fridays ago, Dwight took me to this improv show in Dallas and then to eat at one of my FAVORITE taco places ever. Seriously, I could eat 50 of them. It was a fun date night, just the two of us! His mom kept the kids for us and they had a great time, too!

One of the dad's of Dwight's players took the sweetest candid pictures of D and Ken after a tournament a couple weeks ago. Dwight had no idea he was being photographed which makes these pictures even more priceless to me. These two had the BEST bond!

Obviously Kennedy was quite aware. Ha!

My best friend had her baby!!
Ellis Hope was Born April 15, 2016 at 1:52 AM.
It was the craziest birth I have ever been a part of, but I am so thankful I was able to be there for Jill. She is one TOUGH mama who labored for 48 hours!!! SO proud of her! Jill was in the hospital for 6 days total so I went up their a couple times to visit and be with her. I love this baby so much already!!

My boys had their first game of the spring season and did fantastic!! Tristan scored 6 points and Amari scored 2! It is so neat to see how much they are growing with their skills!

This little ham is definitely TWO! She goes non-stop and is so funny to be around. Oh my little Ken Ken...she keeps me on my toes!

Tristan had a school play last week and was a squirrel. Afterwards we went to McDonalds for his school night, he loved playing with friends and eating the toxic yummy food. Ha!

My loves after church yesterday! :)

Kennedy cracks us up. She got Tristan's phone (he can't call out, only play games), and watched barney on it for a little bit last night. Little mess!

Spending the day with Jill and Ellis! I drove them to Walmart and just had time with them. It was good for my heart to snuggle this baby, isn't she the cutest?!?

Well, I think I'm caught up on all our randomness! ;) Happy Monday!

Life Lately

Last week my sweet friend, Paige (see post below), hosted our families at her house for a little family fajita night. The kids enjoyed swimming (they braved the chilly water), the moms enjoyed chatting, and the dad's hung out around the fire pit. It was one of those nights that made me EXCITED for summertime. I cannot wait to push bedtime schedules aside (for the most part), spend our days in the sun with friends, and making memories. Summer, we are ready for YOU!

Earlier that day I joined Tristan's class on a field trip to the natatorium. They had a swimming safety class and then got to swim for a bit in the water. After they were done in the pool we had picnic lunches outside. T talked me into signing him out of school from the field trip so he got to come home a couple hours early. Those kind of treats mean the world to him, and me! Love that boy.

The kids got to wear their swimsuits to school that morning and he was happy about that!

Kennedy picked a broom out on her bday shopping trip and sweeps all the time. Ha! The girl LOVES to clean!!

I mentioned before that mornings are not her thing...well here is proof! ;) Usually Dwight takes Tristan to school so I don't have to wake her up in the mornings...that was not the case this particular morning. Ha! That hair though!!

Last week I told Dwight I was going to get a mani/pedi and that he would need to keep Ken. Without hesitation he told me, "No, we will just come with you. I want to get Kennedy's nails painted, too!" I couldn't say no to that!!

We ended up making an outing of it. Nails, lunch, and some spring shopping for the kids...they have literally outgrown ALL their clothes/shoes. It was a fun afternoon with two of my loves.

Ken sat on her daddy's lap while she got her nails painted...!

SO many choices, and this was only one of 4 panels to choose from. Anxiety. Ha! I told Dwight they could join me but he had to be in charge of Ken so I could still relax. He agreed. Ha! So I sipped on a drink and enjoyed some "me" time while those two had the cutest daddy/daughter date, ever!!

Friday we packed up and headed to Dallas for the weekend. Dwight's select basketball team was playing in a tournament. Since it is about an hour and 15 minute drive each way, we decided to just stay in a hotel to minimize driving and burning energy. Tournament weekends are busy enough and it just made since.

Our kids LOVE staying in hotels. I think all kids do! ;) Kennedy loved the buffet breakfast. Girl after my own heart. Ha!

I cannot tell you how proud I am of this man. He started his own business a year ago and it has EXPLODED!! It has been amazing to see God's favor over this process. Go Team Juice!

Sunday night I took T to bball practice and met my parents, sister and her husband for dinner on the patio of a yummy Mexican place in Grapevine. Ken clearly had the best time!

I'll end this random post with a precious picture of my babies. Tristan is such a loving and patient person. Kennedy is such a....two year old. Ha! That girl...she is blessed to have him as her brother!!
