The first week of kinder has come to a close.
The fact that it has taken me so long to post about it, should indicate how busy of a week it was! Dwight and I are so.very.pleased. with the school, already. The boys love it, too!

We survived early mornings, no afternoon naps, earlier bedtimes, homework and all the exhaustion that the fun of kinder brings!
The first day Dwight and I took Tristan and met up with Amari up at the school. I shed most of my
ears the night before, so I held it together pretty well. Ha!
What a special day that I will always remember; watching Dwight hold T's hand walking him to class, helping my sweet boy find his cubby and unpack his bag...begging him to take a couple more pictures while he whispered, "mommy, can you leave now?"
Be still my heart.
After dropping Tristan off, we hopped over to Amari's class. Dwight and I prayed long and hard about whether or not the boys should go to the same school. I am so thankful we came to the decision that we did. They both love seeing each other in the halls and comparing days in the car on the way home. There is no bond like brothers, these two are bffs.
The night before school started, Mimi delivered homemade blueberry muffins, Tristan's absolute FAVORITE. He was so happy to have muffins with his fruit and yogurt for breakfast the next morning.
Tristan has the sweetest teacher. She sent home this "jitter glitter" to sprinkle around the kids beds the night before school started to help with nerves. I read Tristan the poem that came with it and we sprinkled it around his bed. The next morning he told me "mommy, the glitter worked! I'm not nervous anymore." I also thoroughly enjoyed vacuuming it up. ;)
This little girl is loving her one-on-one time during the day. No more sharing attention with the big kids! Love her so.
Big boys on their second day of school!
And day three! I slacked on day 4 and 5. Oops!
